David Lopez born in Venezuela moved to Gainesville, Florida in 1979 to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanized Agriculture (Agricultural Life Sciences) from the University of Florida. He is a Chapter member of the Alpha Mu honor Society. After graduating in 1982, David return to his country for a short period of time before coming back to the United States to work as a Farm Manager. Shortly thereafter he became the Human Resources Director for one of the largest vegetable producer in the US. During his tenure as HR Director David worked with Congress to help change Immigration Laws. In 2004, He became the Chair of the Labor Committee of the Gulf Coast Citrus Growers Association. During this time, He created a Labor Law Training Program for labor contractors that is still being used to this day. In 2013, David completed a Master in Science in Human Resources Management. He is HACCP certified as well as a certification by the National Restaurant Association as both a trainer and a proctor (ServSafe Certification Tester) for the ServSafe Management Certification. David Has 24 years of experience in Human Resources Management and 12 years in Food Safety.
